Handmade journal with gold filling pattern print on soft cover made of Daphne paper and felt stitched together. Contains around 105 leaf per journal.
Inspiration for the gold pattern comes from a method for fixing ceramics by using gold to fill the cracked lines, called “Kintsugi”, a traditional Japanese practice.
ARTIST
Marina Vaptzarova is a Nepali contemporary luxury designer brand. Marina’s specialties are the colorful journals exclusively handsewn and handcrafted by local Nepali, using natural and sustainable raw materials found in Nepalese traditions. Each products emphasized high quality, with ecological awareness from plant harvest to finish product.
Common natural Nepali materials used for Marina’s design includes: Daphne paper, hemp weave, nettle weave, felt, cotton, brass, and Daphley vegetal leather (an innovative sustainable paper material invented by Marina herself).
