Handmade wallet made with Allo (nettle weave), hemp and dyed linen with felt lining, and magnetic press buttons closure. The wallet contains a six inner dividers with one removable credit card pocket, an extra removable coin pocket, and a pocket with metal zipper.
Himalayas nettle plants and hemp grows mainly in the northern parts of Nepal, and can be seen everywhere along the streets, in neighbors’ front yard, and in the wilderness. Different ethnic groups from the mountains learned to use these natural plants as food and medicine, while extracting the fibers to spin and weave into durable everyday items like bag, hat, rope, and shawl.
